farm tools from the past and present,
investigating journals and photographs
from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s
students will gain a sense of what life
was like on the farm.

beneath their feet as they discover why soil is the
basis of life on earth. Through indoor and outdoor
investigations, students will discover the properties
of soil, explore soil composition, meet our red
wiggler worms and learn how they contribute to the
health of soil and find out how they can conserve
soil by composting their food scraps.
