Southpoint

South Point is a training program in the field of property maintenance. The training covers the skills needed for maintenance level work in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating, drywall, painting and janitorial work.

Many forces in today's society perpetuate destructive and negative thinking, substance abuse and hopelessness. South Point takes deliberate steps in its training to re direct cadets to a positive approach to life and career. The goal is not only to get a job, but to have hope and direction for life.

This course is designed with the African American male in mind, especially those who seem unable to keep a job, or who believe, "I can't get a job". However, women are not excluded from the program.
